What is the difference between Glucose & HBA1C Tests?

Glucose Test - This test measures the amount of glucose that is currently in your blood, the results/levels may vary throughout the day.

HBA1C Test - This test captures the average amount of glucose that has been in your blood for the past 2 - 3 months. This does not fluctuate from what food you consumed.

How does Glucose affect my body?

Glucose is a type of sugar that provides energy to the body's cells. However, high levels of glucose in the blood can be harmful to health, causing damage to blood vessels and organs over time and leading to diabetes.

What is Triglyceride? How does my meal affect it?

Triglycerides are the most common type of fat (lipid) in your body.

Any food you consumed that does not convert into calories immediately will become triglycerides and stored in your fat cells. 

How triglycerides affect your body, if you eat more than the amount of calories you burn. You will have high triglyceride levels and if combined with high LDL cholesterol or Low HDL cholesterol, it will increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.

What is the difference between Triglyceride & Cholesterol?

Triglyceride - Stores excess calories and produce energy to the body. Comes from food or excess calories.

Cholesterol - Produce hormone, generate vitamin D and build cells. Your body can produce cholesterol for the body to function.

How does Salt / Sodium affect my health?

Everyone requires a small amount of sodium to function but excessive consumption of sodium will cause high blood pressure which tends to left to heart disease, stroke or kidney problems.

High blood pressure refers to the increased of blood volume required to pump all over the body at a much higher pressure and over time, the extra work and pressure will stiffen blood vessels.
