Government Schemes Your Guide to Subsidised Care Medisave Medisave was designed to help Singaporeans pay for their medical expenses on chronic conditions and vaccinations at GP clinic. Under this scheme, the patient of their immediate family members can withdraw up to $500 (simple chronic condition) or up to $700 (complex chronic condition) per patient per year to pay for the following outpatient medical expenses: Flexi-Medisave If you're a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 60 or above, you can use up to $400 of your Medisave each year to pay for a variety of outpatient medical treatments. This includes: Consultations Screening tests Vaccinations Medication To use your Flexi-Medisave, simply let our staff know when you are at the clinic. Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) At Etern Medical, we are able to manage patients with chronic conditions using both CHAS card and CDMP program. Our patient is able to use their Medisave for the outpatient treatment of the same set of chronic conditions covered under CHAS. CHAS cardholder will receive subsidies for treatment of chronic conditions and/or common illnesses and selected dental services at participating CHAS clinics. Do remember to bring along your CHAS card when visiting our clinic. Baby Bonus Program Our medical bills can be paid through the Child’s Development Account (CDA). Parents can use their Baby Bonus cash gift and/or savings in their Child Development Accounts (CDA) to pay for all consultations, procedures, vaccinations, including pneumococcal and hepatitis B vaccinations, at Baby Bonus approved medical institutions. The Baby Bonus and CDA can also be used to pay for siblings’ vaccination. Work Permit Card / Passport ICA Medical Form Screenings Etern Medical provides screening for Syphilis (VDRL), Urine Pregnancy Test, HIV Test, and Malaria Parasite Test. Our clinic will conduct a general assessment such as height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, visual acuity, and physical assessment before the blood taking. *If a Chest X-Ray is required, we will refer the patient to our partnered radiology centres/polyclinics. Mandatory Measles Vaccination From September 1 2025, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will require Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) to show proof of measles immunity under specific conditions. This applies if you have a child under 7 years old in your household who is NOT fully vaccinated against measles . To be fully vaccinated, two doses of the MMR vaccine are required , at an interval of at least four weeks (28 days) between doses. 2 Doses : $120 (before GST) To assist employers with the new MOM requirements, our online booking form for MDW checkups now includes a short questionnaire regarding measles immunity. The 6ME letter will state the tests that are required for screening. What if my helper requires to do Chest X-ray? If the medical form states that Chest X-ray is required, the X-ray will be done at our partnered radiology centres/polyclinics. After your X-ray, you are required to bring the result back to our clinic to receive your certification. How long will it take for the entire screening? The entire screening will take about 20 - 45 minutes.
