Medisave was designed to help Singaporeans pay for their medical expenses on chronic conditions and vaccinations at GP clinic.
Under this scheme, the patient of their immediate family members can withdraw up to $500 per Medisave account per year to pay for the following outpatient medical expenses:
Medisave Grant for Newborn
Newborn citizens will get a Medisave account with a grant of $3,000 in their Medisave account.
This grant can help parents defray the costs of their child’s MediShield premiums, as well as other healthcare expenses such as vaccinations.
Medisave Claimable for Adult Vaccinations
A new list of adult recommended vaccines are also Medisave claimable with effect from 1st November 2017.

Singaporeans can use their Medisave to pay for vaccinations such as pneumococcal and influenza, Cervical Cancer and Hepatitis B vaccinations.
Our childhood vaccination allows the combination of both Medisave and Baby Bonus for payment.
For cervical cancer vaccination, the approved age for Medisave usage is for ladies age between 9 to 26 years old. Our clinics carry both Gardasil and Cervarix vaccines which are approved for the prevention of disease caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)
At Etern Medical, we are able to manage patients with chronic conditions using both CHAS card and CDMP program. Our patient is able to use their Medisave for the outpatient treatment of the same set of chronic conditions covered under CHAS.
CHAS cardholder will receive subsidies for treatment of chronic conditions and/or common illnesses and selected dental services at participating CHAS clinics.
Do remember to bring along your CHAS card when visiting our clinic.
Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs)
The PHPC scheme serves the primary healthcare needs of Singaporeans in times of national need. Clinics under the PHPC scheme, provide subsidised treatment, investigations and medications during public health outbreaks, for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs).
For respiratory illnesses, all Singaporeans & PRs will be eligible for a subsidised rate of $10, while Pioneer Generation/Merdeka Generation cardholders will be eligible for a subsidised rate of $5 and Public Assistance (PA) cardholders : $0 if you are diagnosed by the doctor to have an acute
The cost of consultation, medication and investigations provided at each visit to treat your respiratory illness will be covered under this fee. The doctor will prescribe the appropriate treatment for your respiratory illness, including the medications for the expected duration
of your illness. If you have flu-like symptoms due to chronic conditions (eg asthma, sensitive nose, gastric reflux, post-nasal drip), you will not be eligible for the subsidised rate.
Baby Bonus Program
Our childhood vaccination packages and medical bills can be paid through the Child’s Development Account (CDA).
Parents can use their Baby Bonus cash gift and/or savings in their Child Development Accounts (CDA) to pay for all consultations, procedures, vaccinations, including pneumococcal and hepatitis B vaccinations, at Baby Bonus approved medical institutions. The Baby Bonus and CDA can also be used to pay for siblings’ vaccination.

Ministry of Health has approved the use of Medisave $500 per annum scheme for the following vaccinations and conditions.
All childhood vaccinations under the NCIS (National Childhood Immunisation Schedule) for Medisave is claimable up to $500 per annum per account holder. Parents can also choose to pay with the combination of baby bonus and Medisave.
Screen For Life (SFL)
Ministry of Health and Health Promotion Board have enhanced the Screen for Life (SFL) programme to encourage more Singaporeans to go for recommended health screenings and follow up treatment.
Eligible Singaporeans, including PG and CHAS card holders, can enjoy subsidised health screenings. The services are free of charge for PG card holders, $2 for CHAS card holders and $5 for other eligible Singaporeans.
Please bring along your letter and NRIC when you book an appointment or visit at our clinics.
Pioneer Generation (PG)
From 1 Sep 2014, all pioneer generation will be placed on CHAS. For those who are already on CHAS, they will be able to enjoy additional subsidies.
The subsidies benefits will be as follows:
Acute Conditions: $28.50
Chronic Condition under CDMP - Simple: $90
Chronic Condition under CDMP - Complex: $135
Health Screening under HPB - ISP: From $28.50 (Consult Only)

Swab and Send Home (SASH)*
For Adults and Children below 12
COVID-19 testing for adults and children aged 12 and below is available at Etern Medical Clinic. Our team is able to perform a swab test on your child if he/she has been assessed to have acute respiratory illness or any symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 infection.
This swab test is fully subsidized by Ministry of Health (MOH) and does not incurred any out-of-pocket expenses.
*Antigen rapid test is required to add on top of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests that are being conducted on all people with possible COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, acute respiratory infection (ARI) symptoms.
This is to speed up the detection of COVID-19 cases, rapid antigen testing (ART) will be conducted on all individuals who seek treatment with symptoms. Test results from ART tests take typically around 30 minutes, but it can take up to 48 hours for PCR tests, as the samples must be sent to laboratories to be tested.
Both the ART and PCR tests will be funded by the Government for all who present themselves with ARI symptoms. The Medical Certificate will be issued to you after your ART and PCR test for you to stay home from 3-5 days depending on the date you received your PCR swab test results.
