Your Guide to Subsidised Care
Medisave
Medisave was designed to help Singaporeans pay for their medical expenses on chronic conditions and vaccinations at GP clinic.
Under this scheme, the patient of their immediate family members can withdraw up to $500 (simple chronic condition) or up to $700 (complex chronic condition) per patient per year to pay for the following outpatient medical expenses:
Flexi-Medisave
If you're a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 60 or above, you can use up to $400 of your Medisave each year to pay for a variety of outpatient medical treatments.
This includes:

To use your Flexi-Medisave, simply let our staff know when you are at the clinic.

Medisave Grant
for Newborn
Newborn citizens will get a Medisave account with a grant of $5,000* in their Medisave account.
This grant can help parents defray the costs of their child’s MediShield premiums, as well as other healthcare expenses such as vaccinations.
*For children born on or after 1 April 2025.
Medisave Claimable for Adult Vaccinations
A new list of adult recommended vaccines are also Medisave claimable with effect.

Vaccinations
Program for Adults
Singaporeans can use their Medisave to pay for vaccinations such as pneumococcal and influenza, Cervical Cancer and Hepatitis B vaccinations.
For cervical cancer vaccination, the approved age for Medisave usage is for ladies age between 9 to 26 years old. Our clinics carry both Gardasil and Cervarix vaccines which are approved for the prevention of disease caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)
At Etern Medical, we are able to manage patients with chronic conditions using both CHAS card and CDMP program. Our patient is able to use their Medisave for the outpatient treatment of the same set of chronic conditions covered under CHAS.
CHAS cardholder will receive subsidies for treatment of chronic conditions and/or common illnesses and selected dental services at participating CHAS clinics.
Do remember to bring along your CHAS card when visiting our clinic.


Baby Bonus Program
Our medical bills can be paid through the Child’s Development Account (CDA).
Parents can use their Baby Bonus cash gift and/or savings in their Child Development Accounts (CDA) to pay for all consultations, procedures, vaccinations, including pneumococcal and hepatitis B vaccinations, at Baby Bonus approved medical institutions. The Baby Bonus and CDA can also be used to pay for siblings’ vaccination.
To register your child for this scheme, please come down to our clinic with the following documents:

Medical Expenses
Ministry of Health has approved the use of Medisave $500/$700 per account per annum scheme for the vaccinations for those in high-risk group and some medical conditions.
All childhood vaccinations under the NCIS (National Childhood Immunisation Schedule) for Medisave is claimable up to $500/$700 per annum per account holder. Parents can also choose to pay with the combination of baby bonus and Medisave.
Healthier SG Screening
Healthier SG Screening (previously known as the Screen For Life programme), eligible Singaporeans & Permanent Residents will continue to enjoy the same subsidised screenings.
Eligible Singaporeans, including PG and CHAS card holders, can enjoy subsidised health screenings.

Pioneer Generation (PG)
From 1 Sep 2014, all pioneer generation will be placed on CHAS. For those who are already on CHAS, they will be able to enjoy additional subsidies.
The subsidies benefits will be as follows:

CHAS cardholders enrolled to Healthier SG can opt for the Healthier SG Chronic Tier, where they can enjoy subsidies of up to 87.5% for a selected whitelist of chronic medications similar to those prescribed and subsidised at polyclinics.
*Subsidies are available based on the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) criteria.
